“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”
“Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
“Your ways, God are holy. What god is as great as our God? You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples.”
“Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’”
“Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me.”
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
“Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.”
“Simon Peter answered, ‘You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’”
“Jesus replied: ‘”Love the Lord your God with all you heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
“Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cod, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.”
“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.”
“Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, ‘My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as your will”
“Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
“What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called the Messiah?”
“ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
